Dr Samantha Thomas- University of NSW 
Location-Sydney NSW, Australia 

 
Sam has been a sonographer for over 25 years and currently works within the Perinatal Imaging Research Group at the University of New South Wales, Ultrasound Care in Sydney and PRP radiology. 
Since completing her PhD at The University of Sydney she has continued to advocate for patient-centred care by establishing the ASUM working group OCUG (Obstetric Communication in Ultrasound Group) which is a multidisciplinary team with professional expertise and lived experience, to produce guidelines and recommendations to improve communication with parents in the event of unexpected findings and help sonographers and sonologists cope with these stressful situations.
Sam is a founding board member of the Charity Through the Unexpected whose purpose is to reduce the distress and mental health challenges of families and health professionals when there is a prenatal diagnosis of a congenital anomaly.
In particular Sam is a strong advocate for sonographer recognition as the frontline practitioner. She has published and presented her work at an International , National and local level. She continues to contribute as an academic and researcher and loves to collaborate with others.

A/Prof Ann Quinton- CQ University
Location- Sydney, NSW, Australia


Associate Professor Ann Quinton is a senior sonographer at the Fetal Medicine Unit at Nepean Hospital Penrith NSW and a university lecturer/educator and researcher in Medical Sonography at CQUniversity Sydney NSW. Her areas of interest include the fetal heart and brain and teaching research skills. Ann has a PhD from the University of Sydney and retains an honorary Associate Professor position with this university.

Ms Olwen Clarke- SRG Radiology
Location- Auckland, New Zealand


Olwen is an experienced MSK Sonographer and is currently Charge Sonographer at SRG. She has been qualified in diagnostic ultrasound for more years than she cares to remember and is passionate about learning and engaging with patients and fellow sonographers.

Ms Allison Holley- Allison Holley Consulting
Location- Brisbane, QLD, Australia


Allison Holley is an accredited medical sonographer and a Fellow of the ASA. She has a Masters of Applied Science in Medical Ultrasound and currently works for Queensland X-ray as a paediatric specialist sonographer. Allison is a member of the ASA Paediatric SIG committee, the paediatric representative to the ASA Educational Advisory Committee, and is on the ASA Sonography Editorial Review Committee for paediatrics.

Allison has published 2 textbooks and several articles on paediatric ultrasound. She is the author of the paediatric ultrasound textbook Paediatric Ultrasound – A Practical Guide for which she was awarded an ASUM Award of Excellence in 2013.

Allison has been a senior faculty member of the Australian Institute of Ultrasound and a sessional lecturer for QUT and CQU. She has extensive experience in education and has presented; both proffered and by invitation at local, national, and international conferences. 

Ms Marilyn Zelesco- Fiona Stanley Hospital
Location- Perth, WA, Australia


Marilyn is the lead sonographer at Perth’s largest teaching hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital. Marilyn has an interest in acute abdomen, liver, and renal disease including transplant work, elastography, and indigenous health. She has over 30 years of scanning experience and is a key educator.
