Heath is a vascular sonographer with Queensland Vascular Diagnostics in Brisbane and a general sonographer with Queensland Health at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. He completed his radiography degree at the University of Newcastle in 2009 before completing a Grad Dip in Medical Ultrasound from Monash University in 2014. Heath recently combined his MSK experience with his vascular work to explore and understand popliteal entrapment syndrome. He is also keenly interested in the conservative treatment of Achilles tendon ruptures and the role ultrasound plays in this treatment pathway.
Heath is a current member of the ASA Vascular SIG and a past presenter at ASA conferences and Radiology Across Borders.
Tal Ellis has accumulated over 40 years’ of experience as a registered nurse, wound clinician, educator, academic, researcher, practice manager, clinical services manager and CEO. This includes work in Acadaemia, Primary Health, General practice, Aboriginal Health, Aged Care and Acute care. From 1991 - 2006 he worked as an academic in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of South Australia (City East Campus) where his clinical, education and research specialty was Wound Management. More recently he has occupied the position of Wound Management Clinical Nurse Specialist at Calvary Community Care and is currently the Wound Management Clinical Practice Consultant at Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. Tal is a founding member, Fellow and Life Member of Wounds Australia and a recently retired Board Director of Wounds Australia.
