Sara Kernick will present on the most common paediatric exams encountered, tricks for scanning as well as discussing the most common pathologies.
Dr Annabelle Stabler will provide an additional look at clinical aspect of DDH, how it's treated and her assessments during head to toe.
Live scanning will be conducted throughout the day.
Sara Kernick is currently the Chief Sonographer at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne where she has worked for over 20 years after returning home from working at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London.
Since returning she has tried her hand at many varied roles in sonography including women’s imaging and corporate applications but the call of paediatric sonography is all too compelling.
Her hot topics are paediatric hip, liver transplantation and sonographer education.

Dr Annabelle Stabler is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. She enjoys all aspects of Orthopaedics and Trauma and has a special interest in Children’s Orthopaedics and Adult Hand Surgery.
Annabelle graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland and returned home to the Gold Coast to complete her internship at the Robina and Gold Coast Hospitals. She completed her Orthopaedic Registrar training in a variety of metropolitan and regional Queensland Hospitals.
For further subspecialty training in Paediatric Orthopaedics, Annabelle and her family moved to Hampshire in the south of England for a Fellowship post at the Southampton Children’s Hospital through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. After her fellowship, Annabelle has subsequently worked as a consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon in the UK. She has undertaken additional training in adult hand surgery under the tutelage of Dr David Stabler.
Annabelle works in both private practice and the public health system as a General Paediatric Orthopaedic and an Adult Hand surgeon.
